Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are experienced, caring, and professional. Our clinic is located in Crosstown, the area between Gastown and Downtown Vancouver. Our clinic is located on the 5th floor in the historic 102 year old heritage commercial building known as the Duncan Building. The Duncan building is located on the north side of W. Pender Street, besides Wild Rice Restaurant, or kitty-corner to Tinseltown Mall (between Abbott and Beauty Street). Our RMT's are busy helping clients but will return your call as soon as possible. We do recommend you call or email to book an appointment. Thank you.
Please welcome Naomi Kajiwara RMT, BHK to Crosstown Massage Therapy.
Naomi is a dedicated and compassionate massage therapist with a keen interest in how the body moves. Naomi is a graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and has her Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. Both certifications, along with her performing arts career in dance and taiko drumming, inform her passion for the science and art of human anatomy and body systems.
Her kinesiology background combined with her occupational experiences and RMT education enables her to better understand the various conditions the human body can present, be it dis-function, pain and stress management, or rehabilitation. Naomi’s clinical experience includes working with individuals of varying ages and abilities. She incorporates multiple techniques/modalities such as Swedish and deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point release, sports massage, active and passive release/stretching, and breathing techniques.
Naomi treats several conditions: strains, sprains, tendonitis, and headaches; degenerative disc disease; postural dysfunction; pregnancy (pre & postnatal); respiratory disorders; thoracic outlet syndrome; adhesive capsulitis; shoulder and neck pain; digestive disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome; post-polio syndrome; disc herniation; SI dysfunction; plantar fasciitis; and stroke rehabilitation among others.
Naomi provides customized, quality therapeutic massages (orthopedic and relaxation) to every patient. Through active communication she sets client health goals to improve quality of life.
